When the Ministerial party were visiting the Victoria dock, Mr Bent, State Minister of Riilwavs, slipped and fell from a ladder. He was removed to a private hospital in an unI conscious state, but has recovered conisciousness. i Received 23.1.10 a.m. Sydney, October 22. A severe rain storm and cyclone visited, Broken Hill, there being over two inches of rain. Tbe cyclone was especially severe at the reservoir, raising a wave which precipitated over the embankment. A number of buildings, including a school house at Stephen's Creek, were blown down, and many houses were flooded at Silverton, the washaways interfering with tbe railway traffic.
