WEST END SCHOOL BAZAAR.

The bazaar held in the West End School yesterday was a m ist successful affair. By the time of opening a large crowd had gathered and the general arrangements for the baziar were very generally admired. A splendid show of work prepared by the child-on, their parents and friends, was to be seen in the large west wing in the oautre room. A splendid afternoon tea was served. In the infant room was fixed up a Christmas tree, w|iile a cake and lollie stall occupied a central position in the hrge lobby, which is common to all the rooms. Business was brisk all the afternoon and evening, and we regret that we have to hold over a detailed reporc. Financially thq affiir was a great sue--0989, exceeding the expectations of the Committee to a considerable extent, and very great credit is due to Mrs Dowling, the head teacher, her assistants, and every one who took pare in miking the affiir such a pronounced success.
