(B). The members of the commission shall be elected as follows--(III.) Any member of th) House d Representatives may nominite th«o fit persons to be members of the commission. (IV.) Such nc ruinations shall be delivered to the clerk of the said House on or before the third Tuesday after the Address-in-Reply has been agreed to by the House in the first session of Parliament after the passing o£ this Act. withid the nation licensing area or defined part thereof every Maori, whether male or female, within that area or part shall bo deemed to be a prohibited person, and the provisions of the licensing Acts as to supplying liquor to prohibited parsons shall apply accordingly, with this addition: that on a conviction under any such provision the penalty shall be (a) for a first offence not exceeding .£2O and not less than £5, (b) for a second offence cot exceeding .£SO and not less than £lO, and (c) for a third and every subsequent offence to one month's imprisonment. 38. The Licensing Acts are hereby modified in so far es they are in conflict with this Act. 39.
