Captain Hood, the harbourmaster, and his j MM, who have been on a trip to Australia, returned home this morning. Captain G/ant, who acted as harbourmaster here daring tbe absence of Captain Hood, west north last night. Captain Grant baa filled the position in a very satistactory manner. Considerable interest is being taken in Mr. Hewton King's oil launch, and a great many people have visited her. She has been earned the Awakino, and is a very smari looking well-built boat.
