The Diocesan Synod passed a motion to-day that a standing committee sho ild be requested to inquire into the mode of letting seats in churches where pew rents are obtained, and report to the next session of the Synod. Bishop Julius said he hopid to see the time when pew rente would be abolished, and otner members spoke strongly against tbeseat renting st ttfa, It was decided to recommend the General Synod to support to the utmost iof its power the proposed Congress of [Anglican Communions in Lendon in 1908.
