Vet .tress Association. 1 Haweba, October 20. i Two boy 3 were out shooting on Sunday with a pea rifle, and ingoing over a fence a wire broke and ihi rifl* was exploded by the fall. One of the boys, named Sorenson, received a pellet in the groin. DtiNBDiN, October 20. Ernest Venn, fireman on the goods tram between Olutha and Dunedin, was killed to-day by striking the bridge between {Stirling and Benhar. Venn stood up on the tonder to trim the coal and was struck in passing the bridge and was shockingly mutilated. He had only be6n married about two months. A guard was killed under the same bridge some years ago.
