Mr M, Farmer King, chairman of the Colonial Jron and C jalfielda Construo--ion Company, and Mr Nicolaus, of; Messrs Mercer Nicolaus and Co., mining engineers, are expected to arrive in Wellington from England about the middle of next month. It is their intention to visit bv;ry place in New Zealand where leases or options have been granted to the company in connection with the iroESar.d, iron ore and coal industries. It is proposed to erect works at Parapara (Nelson), New Plymouth and P-»tea. l k he capital the company intends starting operations wi .h is and if it gets o ther concessions (tvhioh include the anticipated construction of a railway from Waitara to the coal treasures $t Mokau) the capital will be iocreised accordingly. This process is for making the ironsand into compound ore for smelting ; another patent is for a, compound pitent fuel (purified «nl for furnaces), Kui a third patent is for increasing the product of the blast furnace by the addition of ironsind. -N.Z.
