Inteteating reading matter will befound on page four of this issue, The services at the Whiteley Memorial Church to-morrow promise to be of more than unusual interest;. Sermons will be preached in connection with the Home and Maori Missions of the church, the forenoon service being conducted by the Rev. T. G. Hammond, and in the evening the Rev Robert Haddon (Ropata Tahu Potiki) will preach. On Monday a missionary meeting will be held, when addresses will be given by the same gentlemen. The offertories, both at fcunday services and public meeting, will be for the mißsion fund.
To-day Messrs Bewley and Griffiths will hold an important sale of crockery and enamelware on behalf of the Co-opera-tive Society, consequent on their having leased the rooms hitherto da voted to the display and storage of their direct and specially selected shipment. This should be a splendid opportunity ior families to obtain a supply of articles of every day requirement | It will be seen on reference to our advertising columns that the sale ot the property at present in the occupation of Mr Edgar Watt, at Fitzroy, is postponed till 24th inst.
