REV. G. H. COLE'S MISSION.
The Theatre Royal was filled in every part last evening on the occasion of the Rev. G. H. Cole's lecture on "Lights and Shades of Oity Life." It epeaka | well for the interest the rev. gentleman has e?oited in his work that while all his meetings have been free, and all well attended, that th 9 ooly meeting where a charge was made at the door should have been the best attended of the series, There must h&ve been over 800 people in the Theatre last night, and numbers had to stand throughout the meeting. The rev. lecturer took occasion before commencing his lecture to rifer to the kindness no had exp ricnced in New Plymouth, and the pleasure he fait at the large attendance at all his meetings; to his host and hostess (Rev. J. N. and Mrs Buttle) and tha church trustees ho was very thankful. The Mission cloac-s to-night. At 3 p.m. tho Eiblii-reading wi>l be lie!d, at 4.15 a children's meeting will beheld •o which all are invited in Whituley Hall, and at 7.30 Mr Oole will spoak on the Motherhood of God. Mr Oole leaves by tha mail twin on Saturday morning for Palmerston North where ha conducts a week's mission.
