WATER POWER FOR ELECTRICITY.
PES PBEH9 ASSOCIATION. Waikoa, October 13. There is sufficient water power h\ Wairoa County and Urewera Country, to provide electricity for the whole of New Zealand for many years. In addition to the Waikaremona, recently vidted by Mr Perham, there is the Manganui-o-how river, a tributary of the Waiau, on which there are 12 waterfalls, one of 150 feet high, and another large watorfnil on the Ruakituri river finer than Te Reing;*. There are others in the Urewera Country equal to the Huku Falls, but only known to a few guides. A special outfit is required to explore, owing to the rough state of the country.
