SERIOUS FIGHT AT TOKO.
On Thursday afternoon, says the Stratford Post, a man named Leonard Hutton, a popular young axemxfl, with three others, hid been dunking a' Toko, and on their way home met a man named Timothy O'Shea, who wan working on the road. From some causo not apparent, hot words paesed, and a fiijht eaeued. Both man fell on a heap of broken meta', and O'Shea's head was badly cut. Hutton also sustainwd Borne bruises and a black eye; After the struggle each of the combatants went his own way, O'Shea going home from his work, Shortly afterwards he became so ill that ho had to be brought to the Stratford Private Hospital, arriving there about 9 o'clock. Dr. Oarbery waoal)ed in, and he pronounced the injured man to be in a very serious state, suffering from haemorrhage on the brain. It was stated that tha unfortunate man was unlikely to recover, and steps were taken to have his depositions taken. At a lato hour on Friday afternoon, however, he had not recovered consciousness, Hutton has been arrested, and Mr Spenoe is trying to arrange for bail.
