TOWN BAND SOCIAL.
The i>.bovo annual fixture took place at the Theatre Royal on Thurslay evening, aod proved a grert success. There were close up::n 200 present, and with a good fio >r, arui oxc llent music from Mr McKneight'sorchestra,dancing was wioct or j >yablo. Mr E. Humphries proved a capable M.O. The supper table Wi.s taosf; artistically decorated, a work for which Miss Maud (Jape! deserves groat praise. The supper itself 1 was all that could be disired, and thanks to the energetic ladies oomj mittop, of whieh the Mayoress l , Mrs E. Clock was the head, everything went off splendidly. The band have good i cause to ba grateful to all who assisted , in making the social such a pronounced success, and no doubt the members of | the band will be encouraged to persevere in their commendable efforts to I entertain the residents of the town j with first-class music. j
