At the annual meeting of the New j Zealand Oricket Oouncil to-night a petition was presented from the Associations which lost money on matches with Lord Hawke's team asking the C ouncil to pay them from its profits on he tour an amount equal to half their ; io3ses. The petition was granted in favour of Auckland, Taranaki, Wan- i t;anui, Wairarapa, South Canterbury and Southland.
