NOTES TO CORRESPONDENTS.
To Ratepayer.->-On February 17tli, Mi Ward moved to proceed with the ex tension of tin Break water out of revenue, and Mr Richard Price seconded. Mr Dingle moved as an amendment that a committee of five be set up to report on the whole question. ~ Mr i)ingle's amendment was carried by 6 to 2, the latter being Messrs Ward and Price. To Anxious.—The Harbour Improve ment League was formed on April 27th. We believe a number of farmers Unions were invited to elect delegates, and a meeting called. It was postponed, and we have not heard of anything further being done.
