LAY HELPERS ASSOCIATION.

A well attended meeting of laymen WBS held in St. Mary'd H.all l«sfe evening in respmse to invitations is ned hy the VeDerable Archdeacon Colo to consider the queitioi of giving religious privileges to back block settlers throughout the Archdeaconry of Taranaki. A general discussion ensue! on a mo'ion proposed by Mr Stanley Smith j and seconded by Mr Webster " That a Lay Helpers Association be formed to 3 promoto the object in view," taken part in by Messrs J. 0.
