PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. Adelaide, September 22. Donovan's assailants were arrested. Brisbane. February 22. The Mayor has suspended the city accountant and a member of his staff in consequence of the report of the Government auditor of certain irregularities in the accounts. The matter i 9 being investigated. Sydney, September 22. The Government during the past few months has borrowed £250,000 at 4 per cent, from a large Insurance Company. The Treasurer explained that the Government refrained from going on the local market for a large amount for fear of causing a general increase in rates. The Budget statement is postponed until nea;b week. Received 23,1.5 a.m. Melbourne, September 22. Resolutions providing for a conference of both Houses to select a site for the Federal capital were introduced in the Senate and the Home. Sir E. repaying to a question, said the statement published in the 1 Press about the High Court Bench did not represent theac ual position.
