ELTHAM ROAD CONCERT.
(FROM A CORRESPONDENT.) " Packed, like sardines, Sir," is the most suitable term to apply to the crowd that gathered within the Eltham Road schoolroom on Friday evening. The only conclusion that one could arrive at after hearing the various items was that there has been a good deal of talent dormant until Mr White, by his musical ability, assisted to awaken and infuse enthusiasm into the latent material, A good deal of time and patience he bestowed on the children to bring them up to the standard of delivery on Friday night. The chubby-faced children in the choruses giving an air of importance to the ooucert, and their appearance, a distinct denial to any belief that the dairy farmers' children are overworked.
