ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
EBB PBESS ASSOCIATION. ArjoBSfcAND, September 17. The body found in the harbour has been identified as that of John Gillespie, a single man, a boiler maker, who has been missing since, Monday, Stbatford, September 17. Mrs Bad, aged 62, was found floating in a well near-her house this morning. Her husband left her in bed at 8 o'clock. Sne had bean suffering from paralysis of the left arm and was dejected. Wellington, September 17.
Geo. 4 shcroft, aged 24, was instantaneously killed at Cabled foundry this afternoon. A piece of machinery weighing about seven tons was suspended above the floor, and ps he was passing underneath it enshud down, pinning him to the ground. The bedj was terribly crushed. Christchuboh, September 17. Giflfen, fell off the pla'form of the tram between Sumner and Christ-, ohuroh this afternoon, and the wheels of three cars passed over his right leg, which was amputated below the knee, at the hospital. The man is progressing favourably.
