A London cable states that the steamer Haipara, built for Messrs. Torabull fc Co., of Wellington, has been tnccesifully launched. Bbortly after leaving the breakwater on Tuesday afternoon for Wangsnoi, the Moa bad the misfortune to lose ber propeller. She left the wharf at 3 p-m., and was about four miles south-* est of the Seal Bock at ' , 8.36 p m., when the shaft carried away fl"sh with the third hole, and the propeller wss long off. The engines were stopped and •til sst far the breakwater, a boat in charge of the mate and thrse men beintr sent ahead for assistance. About S3O the Gertiepisssd, kiid being hailed for sssistance came and nt a tow line from the disabled vessel. The fne parted three times, and it was not until f .30 p.m. that the wharf was reached. It is probable that the Oreti will be sent to tew the Moa to Wellington fer repairs, THE TABAWAKI PRODDOBK-i FKBIZ ING WORKS CO., LTD.
