FEB FBESS ASSOCIATION. Tihabu, September 5,

A special meeting of the Harbour Board was held to-day, and congratulations were expressed on the value of the new moie in protecting the harbour during the storm of thg past tew days. The engineer estimates the damage to the staging of the mole at nearly £2OOO. The Board resolved to ask Mr J. P. Maxwell, U.E., the designer of the mole, to visit Timaru aid confer with the resident engineer, Mr Merchant, and advise the Board aB to the best method of reconstructing the damaged portion.
