WEDDING BELLS.

At Bell Block Ohurok on Monday afternoon there was a very large gathering of friends to witness the marriage of Mis 3 Amy Hoby, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Hoby, to Mr Qeoi'_?e Gordon Grover, late Lieutenant 570 h Regiment, son of Col. Grover, R.B. The church had been vary prettily decorated for thi occision by the ladies in tha neighbourhood and the seating capacity of tha building WO6 taxed to the uttermost. Quite a number of those present were from New Plymouth, Waitara, Inglewood, and other places in the district. The Rev. F. A. Bennett officiated an*} during the service the choir and congregation g»ng two hymns. The bride, who was very prettily attired, was given away by her father, and was attended by her sister Miss Oonnio Hoby and Miss Gay Shaw as bridesmaids. Mr George Hoby, jnr., acted as best man. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Heby hald a reception at the Bdll Block Hall and the guests wero entertained to afternoon tea. The Rev. I\ A. Bennett, in a very happily worded speech, proposed health, happiness, and prosperity to the bride and bridegroom, a whh that was heartily concurred in by all present. Subsequently the newly married couple ltft ior town en route for Auckland, where they spend the honey m ion. The popularity of the bride was evidenced by the large number of handsome and useful wfdJing present, nnd by the hearty goad wishes of a very lurge circle of friends.
