LIQUOR IN THE KING COUNTRY.
Per Press Association. Auckland, August 28. The Prohibition Loague passed a resolution urging the Government to apply section 33 of the Licensing Act to maka it illegal to send liquor to the King Country; that the Maori Councils be given fall power to deal with the liquor question in tkeir own districts; protesting against tbe proposals to require a majority of those enrolled, instead of a majority of votes recorded to make ft local option poll effective.
