«—_— LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP, PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington,. August 28. The fioal <jf the championship in connection with the ladies golf tournament was pi iye 1 to day boiwoen Mrs A. Pearce of Wellington and Mis:-) Lewis of Auckland. The weather was I dull with a strong southerly wind and frequent showers. Mrs Pearc-, who played a magnificent short game, won two up and one to pl<y. The exhibition given by both ladies was v ry finp, Mies Ljwis' long drives being brilliant.
