The inspec'ion of tho headquarters corps of the Taiannki Battalion by General Babington, Commander of the | New Zealand Forces, will take place at I the Drill Hall on Wednesday evening. The Inglewood, Sratford, and Waitara Rifles will arrive by the 11 a.m. ■ train on Thurrday, find will be mirchrd -\ to the Drill Hall and inspected by the j General, The vo'unteer corps present will be !}he Taranabi Rifles, Taranaki Guards, . Inglewood Bifles, Stratford Rifles, and | Waitara Rifles, with the Garrison ! Bund and Nos. 1 and 2 Companies of ; Cadets. It is to be regretted that the -, Stratford and Egmont Mounted Rfles J will not be present, as their attendance t would be much appreciated by the : public. The Stratford Cadets also are unable to accept the invitation to " | attend, Colonel Edis will be Brigadier in | charge of the whole parade, Captain ( Taunton acting as Brigade Major.
