ARRIVAL OF THE WAINUI. the WainuL which left New Plymouth for Wellington at 1 o'clock on Friday, arrived la that port at 730 on Monday morning Bhe left the Northern poit with a strong Berth-east wind, parsed Egmout at 5.30 and picked up Farewell Spit at 5 o'clock on Saturday night. She then went through the French Pass and anahored under Long Island. From this point another start was made for Wellington early Sunday morning, Ink the Teasel had topnt back to Picton, anchoring there at 2.30 p.m. Picton was left at 1.15 ajn. on Monday, and Wellington reached without further delay. The trip light through was a very rough one, seas breaking over the Teasel, but no damage was done beyon 1 the breaking loose of libehoats, which mishap was soon repaired. The Waiaui sailed again at 12.35 p m. on Monday for Westport and Greymouth, but after proceeding to the heads, put back to Worser Bay and dropped anchor. Lart week's Evening Pat says:—Captain Grant want South hut evening for instructions, Mr. James, chief officer of the Takapnna, taking that vessel North. Captain Robertson is to change from the Wainui to the Takapura at New Plymouth, Captain Baokatrum bringing the Waiaoi down. Captain Robertson, of the Rotoiti, brought the lakapuna in this trip. Captain Hunter, late flrst inate of the Takapnna, is now in command oi the Rotoiti. The Gsrtle arrived oi Monday afternoon and discharged coal all night, leaving foi Westport at 4.80 a.m. oa Tuesday.
