NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Me-ting of the New Plymouth Borough Council will be held at the Council Chambers, King-street, New Plyirouth, on the 26th day of August, 1903, at 10 a m., for ths purpose of confirming a resolution p Bsed by the Council ot the 27th day of July, 1903, ordaining a d making amendments to the Bye-Laws for the Borough of Mew Plymouth, such amendments to come into operation and force on the sth day of September, 1903; and also that the objects of such amendments are (a) To repeal Bye-Laws 93 and 94 and to substitute others in lieu thereof. (b) To amen-5 Bye-Laws 92, 96, and 97, in respect of Waterworks. (c) To amend Bye Laws No. 312 so as to close Billiard-rooms at 10 p.m., instead of 11 p.m. (d) To amend the interpretation of the words " party wall" and " inner area "in the "Building Bye-Laws, 1902." (e) To amend clause (c) of Bye-Law No. 4 afld Bye-La* No. S of the Building Bye-Laws. (f) To repeal Bye-Law No. 17 of the said Building Bye-Laws and substitute another therefor. (g) To amend clauses 11, 12, and 2L of the Schedule No. 1 of the said Building Bye-Laws. (h) To repeal clause 16 of the Schedule No. 1 of the said Building ByeLaws, and to substitute another therefor. /■ (i) To add a new Bye-Law (No. 3 A) to th 9 Building Lye-Laws to provide that all new rhimneys in the " inner area" be built with core linings. (j) To amend Schedule No. 2 of the Building Bye Laws by adding to the list of " fees " under £25 —2i 6d. (k) And to amend Division Vilt of the Bye-Law,! relating to Lodging Hcusps, by striking; out the word " common" wherever it occurs in euch Division. And, also, that a copy of proposed nmendments is deposited at the Offica of the New Plvmouth Borough Council, King street. New Plymouth, and is open to th>' inspection of the public during office hours from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m and from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. on all week days except Jhursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays, and will remain there open to inspection until the B>iid 26th day of August. 1903.
