In an interview he seated he hod spent a yood d»?al of (ime in London «nd had interviewed a number of big men, including Mr Balfour. He got what he wanted in monny and nun for church work in various puts of New Zealand, The question occupying much attention in England was that r.f educat'on in Sta'e schools. Personally, he considered the Education Bill waa very fair, but many people misconstrued it as they considered the schools were to bi given over to the church. Tats wa« wrong, as they were to keep the church and schools as at present and establish Bible reading in State schools, With reference to Mr Chamberlain's tariff proposals Bibhop Wallw thinks they will pas; l ,'but not in tho immediate '"uture. He leaves Sydney for New Zealand by the Mo Tiki on Satafday.
