NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Me ting of the New Plymouth Boroogh Council will be held at the Council Chambers, King-street, New Plymouth, on the 26th day of August, 1903, at 10 a m., for ths purpose of confirming a resolution passed by the Council on the 27th day of July, 1903, ordaining a d making amendments to the Bye-Laws for the Borough of New Plymouth, such amendments to come into operation and force on the sth day of September, 1903; and aleo that the objecLs of finch amendments are:— (a) To repeal Bye-Laws 93 and 94 and 99, in respect of Waterworks, and to substitute others in lieu thereof. (b) To amend Bye-Lavs 92, 96, and 97, in respect of Waterworks. (c) To amend Bye-Laws No. 312 so as to close Billiard-rooms at 10 p.m., instead of 11 pm, (d) To amend t.he int'-rprPtation of the words " pnrty wall" "inner area ' :n the "Bui.din/ Bye-Laws. 1903."' (e) To amend claufe (c) of Bye-Law No. 4 and Bye-Law No. 5 of the Building Bye-Laws. (f) To repeal Bye-Law No. 17 of the sajd Building Bye-Laws and substitute another therefor. (g) To amend clause 11, 12. and 21 of the Schedule No. 1 of the said Building Bye-Laws. (h) To repeal clause 16 of the Schedule No 1 of the said Bnilding ByeLaws, and to substitute another therefor. (i) To add a new' Bye-Law (No, 3 A) to the Building Lye-Laws to provide that all new chimneys in the " inner area" be built with core linings. (j) To amend Schedule No. 2 of the Building Bye Laws by adding to' the list of" fees " under £25-2,6 d. (k) And to amend Division VIII of the Bye-Law* relating to Lodging Houses, by striking out the word "common" wherever it ocours in such Division. And, also, that a copy of the proposed amendments is deposited at the Offico of the New Plymouth Borough Council, King street, New Plymouth, and is open to the inspection of the public during office hours, from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. and from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. on all week davs except 'J hursdayo, and from 10 a.m. to I p.m. on Tbnrsdays, and will remain there open to inspection intil the siid 26th day of August, 1903.
