PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Cheistchurch, August 8. By a fire which occurred today, a large b'ick building, the property of Wilfrid Bidger was gutted. The building was insured in the Alliance offioe for £SOO, and the contents of the portion occupied by Badger for the .same amount in the same office. Riy- [ aer, a boot manufacturer, had his stock ' insured for £3OO in the Pfcceaix. The fire started in the portion occupied by Rayner, whose employees left the building at noon. Badger had a printing plant and bindery in connection with his edition of the New Zialand •Statues, and this has be >v damaged "by water, as aUo portions of the S.atutes.
