RESIGNATION OF MISS ARROW. It wilt be remembered that Mis* Arrow, who was for some time in charge of the Oourtenay-strest Infant School, was one of the teachers selected to go to South Africa, and received from the Education Board the necessary leav-s of absence for that purpos?, her position being temporarily and ably filled by Mrs Martin, Miss Arrow, after obtaining extension of leave, bas now d> finitely resigned htr position at Courfcenay-g'reat School, In fcer letter to the Chairman of the Education Board, dated from Tweefonte:n, she expresses great regjet at leaving the Board's service, where she bad m%t with bo much kindness, but she felt a desire to stay longer in South Africa and help wi'h the very interesting work on which she was engaged. She adds tint there are many discomfort*, but she likes teaching the Du'ch children, and wants to sop, do, and know more of the work to bs done. Under such circumstauces it is not surprising that Miss Arrow is remaining in South Africa, where it is evident isbe is doiog equally goad work to that which characterised her muagemant of the CJourtfnay-street School, The Bo'crd are losing a good teacher, but, fortunately, in Mrs Martin they have an equally good substitute.
