Perth, August 0, At the inquest on the explosion at Robb's Je'ty, the Oorcmer instructed the jury to fin i tba<i the person who had possession of the kiysof the magazine at the time of the explosion was responsible for Whelan's dfath. The juay, however, while finding that Carrick, the head storekeeper, had possession of the knys at the rime, decided that the evidence was not sufficiently strong enough to connect him with the explosion, and found that Whelan was killed while courageously discharging his duty. They recommended bis widow to the generous consideration of the Government,
