A meeting of representative Boers, including Louis Bjtha, and ez-Generals Smuts, Viljoen, K;mp and Colliers, held at Krugersdorp, resolved that the labour available was insufficient for mining and agricultural demands, but deferred a decision with regard to Asiatic labour until the Native Labour Commission has presented its report. A thousand of tbe most prominent Jobannesburghers pirticipated in a farewell demonstration to Lord Milner prior to his forthcoming visit to England, and expressed an urgent hops that he would soon return and complete bis great work.
