Fat Cattle—l6B head were yarded, a fair proportion being good to prime. Although prices were scaicely up to last weeks rale they were satisfactory. Wheat—Millers' purchases are confined to small lines of choice northern, and >rices asked are ahead of buyers' ideas. Fowl wheat is in fair demand, and as stocks are gradually reduced the market is firm. Prime milling 4s to 4s 2d ; whole fowl wheat 3s to 3s 2d ; broken and damaged 2s 6d to 2s lid, sacks extra. Oats —The market is quiet and little business is doing. There is a moderate inquiry for seed and milling lines, Good seed lines Is lid to 2s 3d.; prime milling is BJd to is lOd ; good to best feed Is 7d to Is 8d ; inferior to medium Is to Is 63, sacks extia.
BUCK.IiAND AND SONS REPORT. [Special to News.] Auckland, July 24. Messrs Bnckland and Bon report as fol. lows.—
Horses—No heavy draughts entered ; medium L2O to L2B. good hacks and harness Ll6 to L 22 10s, ordinary L 6 to Ll2 12s.
At Remuera dairy cows made L 6 to LlO. Beef was in average supply and slightly easier. Steers made L 8 to Ll3 ss, and to 28s per lOOlbs. Cows L 4 10s to L 9 7s 6d, and to 25s per lOOlbs. Sheep were in short supply. Wethers made up to 24s 6d, ewes to 20s, light weights 14s to 17s, hoggets 109 to 16s 6d. Pigs were scarce and sold well.
