SMALL-POX.

The barque Mariton Woodhide arrived from Liverpool with six of the crew suffering from email-pox. Five are convalescent. *A severe case early in the voyage proved fatal. The barque was quarantined.
VKBBELS ISOLATED. A BUBPIOIOUS OASE. OaxraiCHCBOH, July 22. ? The Taluneand Waikare which were lying at No. 2 Jetty were, this morning, ordered into isolation. The Lyttelton passengers bad landed, and the work of discharging cargo had been begun, when Dr. TJpham web called in to see Mrs Williams, the forecabin stewardess of the Talune who was ill. He deemed the otse suspicious and ordered the work on the vessel to be stopped, no ose on board being a'lowtd to leave and no one on shore go aboard. He communicated with Dr. Fincfa, who went to Lyttelton, atd shortly after two o'clock the embargo was removed, and the work on the vessel proceeded. Mrs Williams is to be isolated and sent to Wellington.
