I was told that my only chonee was to go either to the *' Blue Mountains" or the hospital. After being in the hospital ri<r /R\ Troalr., T ~,t.,™»J 1 -_ - what relieved, but not cured. I had a very nasty, hacking, hollow eough, aod was frequently spitting blood. Owing to the coughing being so bad at night, morphia tablets-were ordered to enable me to sleep a little at night. In AprO of this year (1902) aced taking Emulsion through reading your little book, which was pat Under the door. The doctor wh» w*s attending me said I was doing right, and advised me to continue wife it. I think he said this just to please me as much as anything. At this time my stomach was so weak, ■■"' —y digestion so poor that I cauld auh?ion, but by ened my digestive organs, and after a while I had no difficulty in keeping it down.s It must have been a month or six (6) weeks before I could tell there was any improvement. In fact, I was beginning to lose hope of your Emulsion doing me good. Reading «! to continue. The testiTrooper Orr, and his statement about how he regained his health through being persistent witli tho Emulsion gave me fresh hope. I am now so thankful I was persistent. It was about this time that an improvement began to be noticeable The coughing was still very bad, and the bleeding had not entirely stopped, but there was a kind of feeling that I was getting a little better strength. This helped me on, and gave me frf-'-hope that I might still be well aga>u. Eight up to now, seven mouths later, I have kept on hiking the Emulsion. At first one botl'e each week, then two, and as I got sf" * u ~ - 1 was increased. F>r t months I have li .'en it bottles each week. I a „.. „., forty-fourth (41) bottle. It has boeu money well spent. Lane's Eniuli fresh air and persistency have given me a new lease of life. Last February ' " ' 8 stone 6 pounds. decreased to 7 stone. Since then I have gradually increased and have now gained 10 pounds. L; ruary and March I was quiti to walk but a fovr pi exertion would tire n Now—October—l can, i quite fivo i'S) mile 3 ea The walk I usually take is from : house, round the Patent Slip, throv.„.. Kilburnie, on to Newtown, and home again. This walk is now no trouble to me. •' Just previous to taking the Emulsion, my doctor said he could do no more for me. Now I can sing my old songs ns well as evev I did, showing my lungs are strong and sound. As further proof that ray case was one of consumption, I was reported to the Health Officers who visit * " house in which I was living, ai " I am quite certain that my re"turn to health and strength is " solely due to LANE'S EMULSiQN "and fresh air." Very greatfully and thankfully youi-. (Signed) NELLY NIGHTINGALE.
