MR NEWTON KING'S WEEKLT AUCTION REPORT. Mb Newton Kino reports : Cattle—At Stratford on Tuesday there was a fair yarding of stock, and a good attendance. Bidding was brisk for nearly all lines, and prices showed a dacided improvement on late sales. Calves made 33s 6i to 47s 6d, 18 to 20 months steers L 3 6s to L 3 12s 6d, 18 months heifers L 3 10s, yearling do 495, heifers in calf L 4 to L 4 15s, springing heifers L 5 to L 5 13s, Holstein do L 6 10s, store cows L2 13s to L 4. fat do L 5 5s to L 5 9s. At Rahotu on Thursday there was a small yarding. The attendance was large; and bidding was keen throughout, nearly everything selling under the hammer. Ua.ves made 25s to 40a 6d, 18 to 20months steers L2 15a, springing heifers L 5 8» 6d to L 5 12s 6d, store cows L 3 15s, fat cows L 5 Is, springing do L 5 to L 6 2a 6d.
