VOLUNTEER NEWS.
Thkeb are now rather over 80 men in, camp on the Racecourse. The Okato Bfction of the Egmont Mounted Rifles have arrived, bringing the strength up to over 40 strong. Lieutenant Oarbury has joined his corps, the Stratford Mounted Rifles, who have now their full complement cf officers in camp. Home good work was put in yesterday, Cadtain Knight, of the Egmont Mounted Rifle-*, had a narrow escape of a serious accident as be was driving into town on Thursday evening to join .the camp, being thrown out of the trap land eeverely shaken. Major Jas. Watt joined the camp on Friday morning, and is expected to remain a few days. Considerable interest is being taken in the Church parade, which promises to be a record one in point of attendance. A considerable addition to the number of Mounted Rifles is expected this evening, and probably no less than 100 Mounted Rifles will attend the parade. The Order calling a parade of the headquarter corps on Sunday appears in this issue.
