OBITUARY.
PUB PBE3S ASSOCIATION. Reefton, July 13. The Rav. Dan Bolland died to-day at the Ontholio Presbytery after five months ill oofs, aged 68 years. Ho came to the colony 37 years ago, and was first living in Hawke's Bay and Taranaki. In 1865 he was appointed chaplain to tha forces operating under Major Chute against the Maoris. He was present at a number of engagements, and played a prominent part during the retreat from the Ngutu-o te-mmu, whore Von Tempskey fell, Received 14,1 a.m. London, July 13. The death ie reported of William Eroest Henley, poet, critic,; dramatist, and editor.
