AUSTRALIA. BARS PHILLIPS AS UMPIRE. Per Prees Association. Melbourne, July 7. The Cricketers' Association endorsed the Melbourne Cricket Club's arrangements in connection Kith the English teams visit, with a proviso that the "umpire Phillips should not accompany it. It is proposed to forward a letter to the Marylehone Club o'r-jecMng to Phillips' recent remarks regarding certain Australian bowlers, and his expressed intention to "no-bal" them.
