FARMERS' UNION CONFERENCE.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, July 7. The Farmers' TJiJon Conference openrd to day. The President, Mr J. G. Wilsou, strongly urged on faim ua the value of special training in agricultural and veterinary masters, and said the want of a proper experimental station was strongly felt, particularly in the dairy industry, He also advocated the development of such phases of farm life as fruit growing and bee keeping, from which a large revenue could ba easily obtained, The Union was shown to be fu'l of life and Activity throughout thi o lony. The outlook he was exceedingly promising for agricultures s and pas toralis's, Mr Wi'sjn, amid enthusiasm, was re elicted Piesideat-, and Mr Leadley, 6f Ashburtori, was re-sleoted Vice-presiden'r.
