The Government of the Dominion hat decided to construct, under the supervision of a specially appointed Oommis'ion, a railway from Moncton, in New Brunswick, to Winnipeg. The line is to run via Quebec, passing 100 miles northward of Montreal, and the cost is set down as twelve million sterling. On completion the line will be handed orer to the authorities of the Pacific Grand Trunk Railway for 50 years. The company will equip tha line with rolling stook. No rental will be oharged during the first quinquennium, and the surplus over working expense* will be chargeable in the second quinquennium. Thereafter the company is to piy three pw cent on the original met of construction. The company undertakes to construct the saetien from Wionipag to the Pacifio terminus at Port Sampson, the Government guaranteeing bonds at three per cent. The capital of the Grand Trunk Company is fixed at nine millions sterling. Other companies are to retain run-. ning rights between Winnipeg and Honotoc.
