Auckland, Ju'y 3. ! To day while the Bishop of North Queensland was in a trap with the Rev G. A. Oarver, he met w:th rather a serious accident. There was a gcod deal of tramway traffic at Ponsonby reservoir corner, and the trap had to thread its way through, but owing to some obstacle the ho se swerved, and a tram ran into the trap. The Bishop and Mr Oarver were thrown over the bick on to the road. Assistance was soon at hand, and doctors in attendance, Mr Carver escsp d with a ssvere shaking, but Bishop F.odsham received a severe s:alp wound, and has bden ordered to remain perfectly quiet for a week. Great sympathy will ba felt for tte Bishop, who intended to preach on Sutid»y, and make spscial anpeals for assis' aoce for his devastated diccese.
