HIGH SCHOOL GOVERNORS.
The Board of Governors of the Njw Plymouth High School met on Friday evening. Present: Messrs N. K. MacDiarmil (chairman), J. E. Boy, E. Dockrill, Wilson, atd Allswortb. Apologies were r ceived for the absence of Messrs D. Berry and Percy Smith,
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and a con-sidt-rabla quantity of inward and outward correspondence was dealt with. It was mostly of a rou 1 ine nature. CKie l->i>g'hy letter to the Bight Hon. the Premier, regarding the long standing question uf certain Waimate Plains leaden, brought up the question, and the Ouairman explained ttut hj? and Mr Berry I.al arranged to proceed to Willington and interview the Premier, but Mr Berry now had to meet Sir A J. Oadman on Monday. Arrange meu'.s had now been made for their proceeding to Wellington with Sir A. J, Oadman on Wednesday.
Tenders for an out-house at the residence of ihe Principil ware considered too high, and the o jmmit'ee decided to deal with the matter privately. 'llia Seei'tifcaiy (Mr Bawlty) read the usml statement of acc sun's, and was ins'ructei to tvrico to all tenants in arrears.
Accounts am u iting to £Bl 2s 2d were pissed for payment, ard the Board rcse.
