PEB PKES3 ASSOCIATION. Melboukne, July 2. The Cbmmonweahh revenue for tbe ye*.r from customs ard excise was £9,681,000, exceeding the Treasurer's estimate by £626,000. Sir George Turner explains that the excess of duties came from grain, fodder, and sugir. From grain New S.uth Wales collected £29,000, Victoria £120,000, Queensland £70,000, and other States £IO,OOO. The portal revenue was £2,483,000, being £39,000 in excess of the es imate. The expenditure was £3,584,000, being £3OOO under the Treasurer's estimate. The total surplus returned to the States was £8,200,000. They got baok £1,856,000 above the three-fourths up to which they are entitled. Sydney, July 2. The censure motion was negatived by 65 to 42.
