Eight thousand one hundred and seventy four acres of second classrural Grown land, between Oxford and Sheffield were disposed of by ballot to-day, terms cash, and occupation with right of purchase cr lease in perpetuity. I The Ohristchurch Draicage Board at a meeting to-day carried the following motion: That this Board take the necessary steps to procure the pissiDg cf a Bill through Parliament, authorising the raising by loan of a 6um no' exceeding £IO,OOO, for the purpose of constructing a sedimentation tank, tuch Bill to include authority to expand portion of the Ohristchurch City Loan (authorised by " Ohristehui ch District Drainage Act Act 1875, Amendment Act 1900,") in preparing addiional land at tbe Boards farm for fea'ment and reception of sewage.
