She was a talented and-well-ktown criist. The evidence points to drowning in the Patea River, while en route from Marton to Waitara.to visit a son. Deceased bad been depressed and in illhealth. Oamabu, June 27. A fatal accident occurted to-;'ay, Rober'son, a quarryman aS Wtfcton, wi'h his wifj aud others were driving into town, and wh n d scending tho Severon-street bill the breeching broke and the horse cms down at full speed. He difd on the way to the hospital.. Mrs Robertson had a fractured tku'l and s'.rained shoulder, but the others w<re cot seriously hurt. Deceased was aboilt'6o years of age. A man named Harry Crocker, who has been employed at the Urenui Hotel, was found dead in a hotel parlour at Waitsra on Friday evening. It appears that Crocker was in town on Thursday ard Friday, ana left for Urenui on Friday afternoon.
