The a'tendance at the " At Home" to Lady Raufmly at the Theatre Royal on Friday night was not fo lsrge as was anticipated, thera b ing b fweep 150 and 200 present. Th« buiMing had been decorated with ferae, flags, etc., arid benea!h the gallery wero arranged c'uairs for the conv' nience of those attending th 9 function. Lady Ranfutly was accompanied by Lady Cons anco Knox, Captain Alexander beiDg in attendance. His Worship the Mayor and Mrs Cock received the distinguished gu-sts, ]and Lady Ranfurly was pr<Bßnt>d with a very handsome bouq'iet by Mrs Cck, while Miss Cock paid a similar ccmp'imen!; to Lidy Constance Knox, Both bouquets were greatly admired by the recipients, it being a source of surprise to them that such lovely flowers could be proem ed at this time of Mrs Green, of the Morshead Nuisiry, may well be proui of the compliment paid to her handiwork. | The musical programme consisted of the following nuns:— Grand March, "Aichduke Frederick," Orchestra; song, "The King's Minsrel," Mr Ryan; sirg, "Come to M<- ( " Miss Tobia*; violiu solo, " Mazur," Mr A. L. Cooke; overture "Lion's Club," Orchestra; s:ng "II Baccio," Miss i). Taylor; song " Will o' the Wisp," Rev. F. A. Bennett; selection, " L'EKsire! D'Amoe," Orchestra. The orchestra' was that known a3 Mr McKinconj Bain's. The catering arrangements we re ad- ■ mirably carried out by Mr A. Lialand. This copy was printed en white satin with ornamental borders. Subsequently Mr Tregeilis read the ode from the lefs about 10.45, as they proceed toj Wellington by the mail train this morning, DanciDg was kfpt up for; some time after, but the attendance thinned considerably.
