RAID ON AN OPIUM DEN.
Per Press Association. PALMEK3TOH NOETH, June 24. This afternoon the polios raided a Chinese laundry, and discovered 151 packets of opium (*baut 7 jibs) bidden away uader tubs on the roof. Pipea and other requisites for opium smoking were found, confirming the suspioiou of the pjlioe that the place wm frequented by opium smokers. The opium was confiscated and summonses issujd agiiret 'he responsible Chinese.
