The contract for the iVchnioal School building, for which we mentioned a few days ago the Government h id made a grant to the Education Board, has now been signed, and the work is to bo put id hand at Wo hiw previously given a description of the luildiog, tince which a few alterations *ere mede to ra/et the views of Rev Isaac, the insp> ct rof technio A educaion, but which wrre cot mi f erial, ■ 1.3 plans were- drawn by the Board's architect, Mr Sanderson, in conjunc'iou with thi inspector, Mr W. E. Spencer, M.A. B.Sc, and make provision for instruction in chemistry, dsiryicg, cookifg, and industual The building, which will hava a somewhat imposing appearance, is of unique design, and. wiil stand on a section presented to the Bmrd by the Stratford Borough Council, a section which was let to the Stratford Dairy Company, and the site of thtio eld factory, which tiny generously returned to the Council, although a valuable Las», to enable the Council to present it to the Education Board. Alternative tenders wfre called, (a) with rubble stone foundation plastered, (b) difo, unplastered, and (c) wood pil*s with wojden p'.intb. j'i'he following w. re tbe tenders received :
