' INTBB-lULAND MATCH. PHI PRKSB ASSOCIATION. . Chbistchurch, June 17. The first inter-island hockey match Was played this afternoon, and iesulted in a draw, r either team scoring. The ground was in a vervbad condition. The South Island men had tbe best of the game, their defence beirg wry sound. The left wing of the North Island team was consp ; cuous for its good work.
